The third round of Digital Rally Series was held in Germany, challenging tarmac stages and mixed conditions put drivers in a tough event.
Roland Biro in a Ford Fiesta R5 claims his maiden win at OPEN and R5 class. He have a close fight with Portuguese Miguel Nobrega, also on Ford Fiesta R5. The difference between the two at the finish was 1,6 seconds. Ricardo Santos on the same car claimed 3rd place, 33 seconds behind Biro.
Polish driver Przemek Rudski-Ford Fiesta R2 claim another dominant victory at R2 class and it's closer to the category title. Sergei Baranovski-Ford Fiesta R2 finish second on 1 minute and 20 seconds behind the leader. Razvan Pahonțu-Peugeot 208 R2 completes the podium at 1 minute and 27 seconds from Rudski.
Bogdan Cărămidaru on VW Golf GTI wins in H2 Classics group. He win the event with a 2WD car. Last two rounds winner, Portuguese Simao Pereira-Fiat 131 Abarth gets second place, the difference between the two was 10,5 seconds. Andrei Pădure-Alpine A110S finished 3rd on 1 minute and 2 seconds behind Bogdan.
In the overall rankings, Biro takes the lead with 65 points, Nobrega goes down to second place, just two points behind Roland. Santos remains 3rd overall with 48 points. RS Motorsport are Season 2 Teams Champions with two rounds to go.
The fourth round has already started, fast and demanding gravel stages in Poland being prepared for DRS drivers. Poland Rally comes to an end on 16 April.
