Spain, maybe the easiest and fastest on the same time rally in the calendar. Now held on the wide, smooth and sweeping asphalt roads around the town of Salou, Costa Daurada, it was previously held around the region of Costa Brava. In 1988 it was merged with the Rally Costa Brava and renamed as Rally Catalunya – Costa Brava. Citroen literally dominates the manufacturers all-time wins, 11, most of them made by maybe one of the greatest driver of all time, Loeb. The start line for the competition is in the town of Salou, in the province of Tarragona, and for three days the PortAventura theme park will serve as the main venue for the event. This will be a decisive race in the battle for the title, as there will be only one race left before the end of the championship. Rally Spain is like a racetrack with the double-width roads offering plenty of room for commitment and placing an onus on the ultimate racing line.
